RoundUp № 37 | St Louis Game Developer RoundUp

RoundUp № 37

July was packed with progress, great conversations on the Discord, and exciting moments from the STLGameDev community. Our monthly meetup was at Schlafly Bottleworks, and we showed off games made in the community at MOGameCon! Here’s a look back at what happened throughout the month!

The St Louis Game Developer RoundUp is the official monthly digest of the St Louis Game Developer community. Curated by STLGameDev, it brings together news, project updates, resources, and upcoming events from our local game development scene contributed by community members.

🧑‍💻 Dev Updates

🕹️ Game Jam Releases

  • Xain Russell helped to make Sky’s Landline for Furry Game Jam #2! Sky’s Landline is an infinite upwards high-score-chasing platformer, where you must ascend through the structure of a colossal radio tower, linking the main data cable from relay console to relay console, acquiring temporary upgrades along the way, and racing against the degrading battery of your jetpack as you try to get as high as you can!
  • Dorian K, azeTrom, StarBiscute, Poyumonium, and F1r3-Dragon made Mixtape Match, a music memory matching game where you listen closely, then pick out exactly which tracks played. Each round layers more sounds into the mix, testing how sharp your ear really is before the clock runs out. Made for the GMTK Jam! Out of over 10k entries in the jam, right now, the game is ranked #9 in the audio category!
  • Dustin Triplett made Dopaminer for the The Kenney Jam 2026, a frantic fulfillment game about chasing tiny hits of happiness through online shopping, fast shipping, and the sweet satisfaction of adding things to a cart YOU don’t actually have to pay for.

🎼 Music Releases

  • The Colisino Original Soundtrack, by Elliot Hely, is available to download from Bandcamp FOR FREE!
  • Nathan Amiri put together an interactive Soundboard collaboration that lets you mix and match audio tracks made by community members Laz, Duk, Auron, Star, Tim and Nathan himself.
  • Fat Bard released the How Many Dudes? soundtrack!
